The Jiobit child tracking device is not your ordinary tracking device. It is a wearable device that provides parents with peace of mind and the ability to keep an eye on their children’s whereabouts, while also promoting child safety and pet tracking. This innovative product was designed in collaboration with MP Consulting, and A Making Company (AMC) was later brought on board to provide reverse logistics, kitting and refurbishment services.
While most of the product distribution flows from Asia to ShipBob and Amazon, AMC plays a crucial role in repairing, refurbishing, and triaging all returns. We use efficient triage processes and engineering support to ensure that the refurbished devices are as good as new. Our services not only allow Jiobit to actively engage with their customers but also contribute to planet-saving recycling efforts.

Our Challenges
Triage of buyer’s remorse from true defects: One of the biggest challenges in the refurbishment and reverse logistics process is distinguishing between returns due to buyer’s remorse and those due to genuine defects. It can be time-consuming and challenging to determine the root cause of a return and ensure that the appropriate solution is provided.
Unpredictable returns shipments: Returns can come in at any time and in varying quantities, which can make it challenging to manage inventory levels and allocate resources efficiently. This can result in longer wait times for customers and delays in the refurbishment process.
To overcome these challenges, we implemented robust processes in collaboration with the Jiobit team to streamline the reverse logistics and refurbishment process. This involved investing in tools to automate triage as well as working closely with logistics partners to optimize the supply chain for returns management.
